KayaAirlines Maintenance (KAM) is the largest and most advanced full-service maintenance, repair in Mozambique for Aircraft up to 16 Tons. Fully IACM-certified since the early 1990’s, KAM serves an increasing number of local and regional airlines. However, from January/2012 the company is able to do the Maintenance Control for the ERJ145.
However, the company is fully licensed and has the highest skilled technicians in Mozambique to maintain the Embraer 120's.
While its main operations comprise extensive premises at Mavalane International Airport in Maputo, KayaAirlines Maintenance (KAM) also services customers at Beira and Nampula and smaller airports.
However, KayaAirlines aims to Corporatized as a separate company from 2012, being 100% owned by KayaAirlines. KAM is seeking to expand its services to regional airlines, particularly those based in Africa. We have the capability, to meet the requirements of international carriers.
Who We Are
KayaAirlines Maintenance (KAM) has a staff complement of over 15. Two thirds of these are maintenance-related staff, with a strong base of technical and engineering skills. The remainders form the support structure, including Engineering, Logistics and Quality Assurance.
KAM has 2 decades experience as a world-class aircraft maintenance and repair organization, with full-uninterrupted IACM certification since the early 1990’s, serving an increasing number of local and regional airlines. While its main operations are at extensive premises at Mavalane International Airport, it has expanded to also serve customers in Beira and Nampula.
KAM has technical staff providing line maintenance services to KayaAirlines and a large number of domestic and regional companies.
Line maintenance includes A and B checks, technical defect rectification and aircraft exterior cleaning. KAM is the only maintenance facility in Maputo providing customers with the specialist service of hand-polished aircraft.
In addition to the normal maintenance programme, a dedicated team ensures that aircraft interiors are maintained to a high standard. When all airlines have similar aircraft and technical facilities, the cabin appearance and functionality is a key consideration in customer satisfaction and loyalty.
KAM plan to expand its footprint into Africa.
KAM provides an aircraft recovery service through a specialist team on a 24-hour standby bases. This team is fully equipped to handle any type of emergency in Mozambique.
Quality Assurance and Control
KAM Technical, is one of the Mozambique leading Aircraft Maintenance Organizations, places great emphasis on quality.
Regular audits ensure that policies are adhered to and that the quality of work performed conforms strictly to standards prescribed by manufacturers and regulatory authorities, including IACM, SACAA, FAA and EASA. Safety indicators are closely monitored.
KAM Technical believes the philosophy of Quality at Source and has implemented inspection to achieve this.
Inspection methods, techniques and the use of specialized equipment and inspection aids are included in basic and recurring training of all technical staff.
Technical Information is responsible for control, review, distribution safekeeping and procurement of all Technical manuals, forms and documentation.
